Background[edit]
Nailah was the queen of the wolf tribe residing living in Hatari. She was often accompanied by her loyal but quiet servant Volug. The people of Hatari originally believed that they were the only nation surviving from the Great Flood. However, this all changed when Nailah discovered Rafiel, a heron laguz, wandering lost through the Desert of Death in the 620's. Rafiel dedicated his life to serving Nailah, and through him she learned of the many lands lying on the other side of the Desert. Nailah was full of sass, but she was also somewhat protective when it came to Rafiel.
In "Part 1: Silver-Haired Maiden", Rafiel was guided towards some ruins in the Desert of Death by a message from Yune. Nailah and Volug accompanied him, and the three met with Micaiah and her Dawn Brigade there at the end of "Chapter 4: A Distant Voice". They decided to accompany and help Micaiah with her cause, and hoped afterwards to find a way to Gallia in order to reunite Rafiel with his siblings and meet with the other laguz. Nailah at first aided Micaiah indirectly due to the anti-laguz prejudice in Daein, by sending Volug to accompany and protect Micaiah. Nailah finally joined Micaiah directly in battle in "Chapter 8: Glory Unwanted", and then for the final battle with General Jarod in "Endgame: Daein, Arise!". She then left the festivities early with Rafiel once again to avoid the anti-laguz prejudice, and Tormod escorted them to Gallia. She left Volug behind to watch over Micaiah
Nailah remained in Gallia throughout "Part 3: Intersecting Vows". But after war broke out between the Laguz Alliance Army and the Daein Royal Army, Nailah and Rafiel went to join with the Daein army, saying it was because the Laguz Alliance army had them outmatched in "Endgame: From Pain, Awakening". Afterwards, in "Part 4: Of Gods and Men", she was assigned to travel with the Greil Army.
After the wars ended, Nailah returned to Hatari with hopes of migrating her people across the desert. If she was killed during the game, Volug returned to Hatari in her place with similar intentions.
