Yoshi's Crafted World is a side-scrolling platforming Yoshi game that was released for the Nintendo Switch in 2019. It is Good-feel's second Yoshi game after Yoshi's Woolly World, but it follows a different aesthetic from that game. Rather than taking place in a world where everything seemed to be knit from wool, this game has the world and characters designed as if they were made out of felt and other craft products, and with less of a direct impact on gameplay.

Story[edit]

The Yoshis are shown to watch over the Sundream Stone, which has the power to make people's dreams come true. Kamek and Baby Bowser come to steal it, but in the ensuing struggle, the Sundream Stone loses its Dream Gems, which are scattered across the neighboring areas. The Dream Gems are needed for the Sundream Stone to work, so the Yoshis race against Kamek and Baby Bowser to retrieve them first.

Gameplay[edit]

This game follows the standard gameplay of the platforming Yoshi games. One variation is that Yoshi can now aim eggs into the background and foreground of areas. The game also has a number of unlockable costumes that Yoshi can wear for additional protection. Each level can also be replayed with a 'flip side' version, in which Yoshi must explore a reversed version of the stage in order to find three Poochy Pups that are hidden throughout the area. Levels can also be replayed with tasks given by NPCs, which consist of finding certain items in a stage and claiming them by hitting them with eggs. It is also possible for a second player to join in as another Yoshi.

There is also an easier mode called Mellow Mode. Crafted World also has amiibo support, and scanning amiibo can unlock special costumes for Yoshi.
