'Greta is one of the seven Frontier Brains of Hoenn's Battle Frontier appearing in Pokémon: Emerald Version. She is the Arena Tycoon in charge of the Battle Arena.

Background

The leader of the Battle Arena, Greta was an eager combatant who did not easily see others as a challenge. Such was her impression of Brendan/May when they challenged her in Emerald, as she told the trainer that they looked weak. Greta could be challenged after 27 wins and then a second time after 55 wins. After the first defeat. Greta rescinded her opinion of the trainer, confirming that they were indeed tough, and gave Brendan/May the Guts Symbol. After the second defeat, she was infuriated at having lost again but surrendered a gold symbol and promised not to lose next time.
