Background[edit]
Book One[edit]
Linde was the daughter of the powerful sage Miloah who also learned some magic from him. After Miloah was killed by Gharnef, she disguised herself as a boy and went into hiding to avoid being persecuted by Gharnef. At the same time, she taught herself the Aura spell in hopes that she could one day avenge her father by defeating Gharnef with it. However, this led to her being captured and sold as a slave in the Knorda Market. Marth and his men were able to save her when they found her in Chapter 11 (9 SNES). After the War of Darkness ended, Linde entered Princess Nyna's protection and became a lady of her court.
Book Two[edit]
Three years later, Linde was dispatched from Archanea with an important mission from Nyna, who had entrusted her with the Fire Emblem and asked her to deliver it to Marth. She did not understand the true meaning of the mission, but noticed the sadness of Nyna's eyes. Before she could reach Marth, she was captured by the forces of Macedon and imprisoned within a fortress. Marth rescued her when he quelled the uprising within Macedon in Chapter 2, at which point she fulfilled her purpose by giving him the Fire Emblem. She then remained with Marth's army for the duration of the War of Heroes, and afterwards she worked at the magic academy that Elice founded in Pales. It was suggested that she had "found an idol", which has led to her "becoming more beautiful recently".
