Formerly the chief of Orange Stars forces, he retired some time ago and opened a shop of war-related goods. He apparently learned a few things from Sensei back in his time. Hachi played no part in any of the Black Hole invasions.

One thing he offers free is advice, he is quite knowledgable on the powers of the many COs. Whenever you enter his shop, he often has some advice to offer. In both AW2 and AW DS, he is unlockable to use. Thanks to secret trade routes and his other influences, he is able to get lower prices on units without the units being weaker.

Gameplay

Hachi is a secret CO that can only be unlocked in Advance Wars 2 and Advance Wars DS. Unlike the other COs, he has no actual involvement in the storyline of any of the games. He is a balanced CO with no advantage on any map, but gets 10% off all units without decreasing the quality of the units.

• Barter - Hachi's regular CO Power, it reduces all unit prices to 50%.
• Hyper Upgrade - Hachi's Super CO Power, it reduces prices to 50% and allows Hachi to deploy units from any allied cities.

Trivia

• Hachi's only Tag Partner is Sensei, but they don't get an attack bonus from it.
