Ledyba is a ladybug-like Pokémon that was introduced in the second generation games. Its evolved form is Ledian.

Ledyba is a very timid Pokémon that is usually afraid to move when alone. Ledyba become more active when working in groups. They particularly come together during cold weather in order to warm each other. Ledyba secretes an aromatic fluid from where its legs join its body which is used to communicate with others. They alter the fluid's scent in order to communicate with others.

It evolves into Ledian at Level 18.

In Pokémon: Silver, Crystal and HeartGold and SoulSilver, they were commonly found on Routes 2, 30, 31 and 37. In Crystal, they also appeared at Route 36 and could be found by headbutting trees at Routes 33 and 42, Azalea Town and National Park, and in SoulSilver they could appear when trees in any area were headbutted.
