Mareep is an electric sheep Pokémon that was introduced in the second generation games. It is the first form in a three-stage evolutionary line, with its evolved forms being Flaafy and Ampharos.
Information
Mareep has a fluffy coat of wool that rubs together in order to build up a static charge. It also has a lightbulb on its tail that shines more brightly depending on Mareep's electrical charge. Mareep's fleece also doubles in volume while building static electricity, and people will receive shocks just from touching it. Its fleece is perpetually growing, although Mareep sheds all of its fleece in the summer. It usually grows back within a week. Mareep have also been known to store lots of air in its soft fur, which keeps it cool during summer and warm during winter.
It evolves into Flaafy at Level 15.
