Ledian is a mature ladybug-like Pokémon that was introduced in the second generation games. It is the evolved form of Ledyba.
Information[edit]
Ledian evolves from Ledyba at Level 18. They use starlight as energy, and because of this they are most commonly found in clean areas which have clear starlight. The star patterns on their backs also grow larger or smaller depending on the stars in the night sky. They fly around and scatter a glowing powder during the nighttime. When the weather gets warm in the daytime, Ledian curl up within a big leaf and fall into a deep slumber.
Appearances[edit]
Mainstream Games[edit]
In Pokémon: Silver, Crystal and SoulSilver, Ledian could be rarely found at Route 2 (being slightly more common in SoulSilver). In Crystal, they also appeared at Route 37, while in SoulSilver they could also be found by headbutting trees at Viridian Forest. They only appeared during the morning in this generation, and could only be found at all times of day when headbutting trees.
In Diamond, Pearl and Platinum, Ledian were uncommonly found at Route 229 in the morning. In Black and White, Ledian was rarely found at the Dreamyard's above ground and underground areas but only in the dark grass.
Other Games[edit]
In Pokémon Colosseum, a Shadow Ledian could be snagged from Cipher Peon Kloak at The Under, and after being purified it could be transferred to any of the third generation color versions. In Pokémon Trozei!, it was found at Phobos Jet, Endless Level 34, Forever Level 34 and Mr. Who's Den. Ledian could only be obtained by evolving a Ledyba in Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red and Blue Rescue Teams, although in Explorers of Time and Darkness it could be recruited at the first nineteen floors of Mt. Travail and the first twenty-one basement floors of Midnight Forest. In Pokémon Ranger: Guardian Signs, Ledian was found at Rasp Cavern and Canal Ruins.
