Gothitelle is a slim and dark-colored Pokémon with a dress-like body that was introduced in the fifth generation games. It is the third and ultimate form of Gothita's evolutionary line.

Information

Gothitelle evolves from Gothorita at Level 41. They are known for their powers of prophecy, and like their former form, they have a sort of connection with the stars. Gothitelle can use their intense psychic power to distort space in order to see starry skies that are thousands of light years away. They can predict the future from the placement and movement of the stars. Gothitelle can also see the life spans of trainers.

In Pokémon: Black Version, Gothitelle could be rarely found in rustling grass at Route 9.

Other Games

In Pokémon Rumble Blast, Gothitelle appeared as a boss for the Frozen Tundra's tower and was also found in the tower of World Axle's second basement floor. A Gothitelle also had a strong antagonistic role in PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond as a devoted servant of Darkrai who manipulated others and lured them into the Wish Park. She is said to have come to Wish Park from a foreign land and works with a Gothita and Gothorita. Gothitelle initially leads the Power Zone within Wish Park, but she is later succeeded by Haxorus and winds up grieving for Darkrai once he is trapped in the Dark Void. She feels better once he is rescued, and she could later be befriended through battle at the Wish Castle.

• In the Pokémon anime, Gothitelle was first featured in an episode of the Unova series. It used its powers to trick travelers such as Ash and his friends by creating fog on Skyarrow Bridge and making illusions of a ferry to ride. This is because Gothitelle used to be owned by a young girl named Sally whose father ran the ferry, but after the ferry shut down, Sally eventually grew up and left Gothitelle behind. Everything was reconciled the adult Sally got to talk to the Gothitelle, and it mysterious disappeared afterwards. A Gothitelle was also featured in the Black version of the fourteenth movie as the partner of Damon, the antagonist. Gothitelle also made other, more minor appearances in the series, and in one episode one was shown working in the Pokémon Musical and wound up working with Ash as a dance partner.
• In the Pokémon Adventures manga, during the Black/White arc a Gothitelle was used by Team Plasma grunts during their attempt to capture Victini from Liberty Island with its Hypnosis ability, but it was ultimately defeated by Black's Braviary.

Trivia

• Its name seems to be a combination of "goth" (as in the gothic lolita fashion style which inspired the design of this evolutionary family) with "mademoiselle" (a French phrase used to address women, which reflects the Gothitelle's feminine appearance despite the possibility of male Gothitelle).
