Haxorus is a potent tusked and armored dragon Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. It is the third and final form in Axew's evolutionary line.
Information[edit]
Haxorus evolves from Fraxure at Level 48. They are covered in armor, and their sturdy tusks are strong enough to cut through steel beams and still stay sharp. However, it has not been disclosed whether or not they can regrow broken tusks (which Axew can but Fraxure cannot). Haxorus are generally kind creatures, but they have been known to become fierce and relentless when protecting their territory.
Appearances[edit]
Mainstream Games[edit]
Haxorus has not been found in the wild can can only be obtained through evolution.
Other Appearances[edit]
Other Media[edit]
- Within the Pokémon anime, Haxorus has only appeared in a dream sequence experienced by Iris's Axew at the Dreamyard, as her Axew's greatest dream is to evolve into a Haxorus.
Trivia[edit]
- Its name seems to be composed of plays on "hack" (an action performed with axe), "axe" (the weapon which its tusks resemble and is present in the names of its earlier forms) and "saurus" (the prefix used for dinosaurs, most likely due to Haxorus being a powerful reptilian creature which makes it not unlike a dinosaur).
