Jigglypuff is a cute Pokémon known for it's singing voice.

Information

Jigglypuff is a Balloon pokémon. It's body is round and pink with short, stubby arms and legs. It's body has an elastic property that allows it to suck in air to appear larger than it really is.

Jigglypuff is best known for it's singing. The sound of it's voice is soothing and puts other to sleep.

Yellow Uses its alluring eyes to enrapture its foe. It then sings a pleasing melody that lulls the foe to sleep.
Stadium It mesmerizes with its large, round eyes and sings a soothing melody. Pokémon hearing this song fall asleep.
II Gold If it inflates to sing a lullaby, it can perform longer and cause sure drowsiness in its audience.

III Ruby Jigglypuff's vocal chords can freely adjust the wavelength of its voice. This Pokémon uses this ability to sing at precisely the right wavelength to make its foes most drowsy.
Sapphire When this Pokémon sings, it never pauses to breathe. If it is in a battle against an opponent that does not easily fall asleep, Jigglypuff cannot breathe, endangering its life.
Emerald Nothing can avoid falling asleep hearing a Jigglypuff's song. The sound waves of its singing voice match the brain waves of someone in a deep sleep.

In Pokémon: Red Version, Pokémon: Blue Version, Pokémon Green Version, Pokémon FireRed and Pokémon LeafGreen, Jigglypuff is found on Route 3. In Pokémon: Yellow Version, they are found on Routes 5, 6, 7, and 8. In Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver, you can find them on Routes 3, 4, and 46. In Pokémon Crystal, they are available on Routes 5, 6, 7, 8, 34, and 35. In Pokémon Ruby, Pokémon Sapphire, and Pokémon Emerald, they appear on Route 115.

In Pokémon: Diamond and Pearl Versions, Jigglypuff could be found in the Trophy Garden of the Mt. Coronet Mansion.

Other Games

Jigglypuff also makes an appearance in Pokémon Snap, Pokémon Pinball: Ruby & Sapphire, Pokémon Trozei, Pokémon Mystery Dungeon, and Pokémon Ranger.

  • Jigglypuff appears as an unlockable playable fighter in Super Smash Bros., Super Smash Bros. Melee and Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
    • In Super Smash Bros., Jigglypuff is unlocked by completing 1-Player game on any difficulty level.
    • In Melee, Jigglypuff is unlocked by playing 50 Vs. Mode matches or by completing either Classic or Adventure Mode at any difficulty level. Three unlockable trophies for Jigglypuff are found in the game.

      In Brawl, Jigglypuff is unlocked by playing 350 brawl matches, beating the first twenty events after completing "The Subspace Emissary" or by getting Jigglypuff to join the party in "The Subspace Emissary". Jigglypuff is not part of the main storyline in "The Subspace Emissary" and can only be found through a new door that appears in The Swamp after "The Subspace Emissary" has been beaten. The door takes the player to the Pokémon Stadium 2 level, where Jigglypuff performs a song and then engages the player in battle. Beating Jigglypuff will unlock it for play in "The Subspace Emissary" and the rest of the game if it had not been unlocked already. Jigglypuff has two Brawl trophies, one normal trophy and one of its Final Smash.

  • Jigglypuff makes various appearances throughout the first seasons of the Pokémon anime. The anime Jigglypuff is an aspiring singer, but everyone it sings to falls asleep, which enrages Jigglypuff and causes it to scribble graffiti on everyone's faces with magic marker.
