Pinsir is a beetle-like Pokémon that was introduced in the first generation games and has no evolutionary line.
Information
Pinsir is an astoundingly strong Pokémon that can use the pincer-like horns on its head to easily grip and lift a Pokémon twice its size into the air. These horns are covered in thorns which dig into the foe's body when the pincer closes, making it difficult for the foe to escape. They keep their prey between the horns until it is torn in half. If it fails to crush a victim, Pinsir will swing it around and toss it hard.
They usually live in warm places, as they are rendered sluggish by cold temperatures. Pinsir hides deep within forests during cold periods. When the temperature drops at night, it is known to sleep on treetops or to burrow underground with its horns to sleep, with damp soil clamping to it in the morning.
