A wiz at mechanics, it was likely that skill that promoted him to Commanding Officer at such a young age. During Sturm's first attack, he and Orange Star's first war advisor saw most of the action. Though accusations were made he attacked Green Earth, it turned out that Sturm had cloned him in order to stir up trouble in Wars World.

After defeating Sturm, he was only too ready to face him again during the second invasion. However, like Nell, he stayed in Macro Land during Black Hole's invasion of Omega Land. This did not stop him from once again being cloned. Interestingly, his second clone reacted differently. Before dying, his clone felt proud to have been a copy of the real Andy.

Andy is an impulsive youth, usually taking after Max's 'rush into battle' mentality. However, he is fiercely loyal to his friends and will do anything he can to help them. Being young, he is still rather immature, which can be seen in his aversion to waking up early.

Trivia

• Until Dual Strike, he was the only Orange Star CO dressed in red.
• In Dual Strike, he and Hawke get an attack bonus when they Tag Team together.
