Karrablast is a small bug Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. Its evolved form is Escavalier.
Information
Karrablast resembles a horned bug and, when threatened, it spits an acidic liquid to drive attackers away. Karrablast is known for targeting Shelmut due to the mysterious connection between them. Karrablast and Shelmut both mysteriously evolve only when they receive electric stimulation at the same time. This is represented ingame by trading a Karrablast and a Shelmut (the electric stimulation presumably being part of the trade), which causes each of them to evolve into Escavalier and Accelgor, respectively.
Appearances
Mainstream Games
In Pokémon: Black and White Versions, Karrablast could be found uncommonly at Route 6 and rarely at Route 11.
Trivia
- Its name is a combination of "kerato" (which is Greek for "horn") with plastron (a word for a shelled creature's underside).
