Joltik is a small electric insect-like that was introduced in the fifth generation games. Its evolved form is Galvantula.
Information[edit]
Joltik attach themselves to large-bodied Pokémon and then absorb static electricity from them. It stores all of the electricity that it absorbs within an electrical pouch located somewhere on its bodies. Joltik that live in cities have mastered a technique for sucking the electricity from outlets in the houses there.
It evolves into Galvantula at Level 39.

- In the Pokémon anime, Joltik initially made a small appearance in the Pokémon anime where it wound up accidentally being placed on the chest of Ash's Oshawott instead of its missing scalchop, and it proceeded to shock them before escaping.
Trivia[edit]
- Its name is a play on a combination of "jolt" and "tick".
