Background[edit]

A expert marksman. He studied in military school along with Max and Nell. At one time he even had feelings for Nell, but for his own reasons he defected shortly after to Blue Moon. When Sturm invaded, he conspired with Sonja and Drake to see what all the hostilities are all about. He was later able to talk Olaf out of his alliance with Sturm and to the aid of Orange Star.

During the second invasion of Sturm, he was offered a chance to join Black Hole, which he promptly refused. He also had quite a part in helping Colin along the way. He joined the Allied Nations late during the Invasion of Omega Land, but still was a valuable asset. His laid back personality may make him seem lazy and untrustworthy, but he truly does care about protecting people. He's one of the few who can put up with Olaf.

Gameplay[edit]

Grit is the polar opposite of Max. He relies on indirect attacks and as such his range (+1) and indirect power (120%) is increased. The downside is that his direct units are only 80% as powerful. Given his abilities, Grit has an edge on bottlenecks and fog of war.

  • Snipe Attack - Grit's regular CO Power, increases indirect range by 1 and indirect offense by another 40%.
  • Super Snipe - Grit's Super CO Power, increases indirect range by 2 and indirect offense by another 40%.

Trivia[edit]

  • His Japanese name is Billy, possibly in reference to the Old West outlaw Billy the Kid. His English name of Grit is likely in reference to GRIT, a mnemonic acronym used by militaries as instructions for how and when to fire on enemies, standing for Group (indicating who will fire), Range (indicating distance from target), Indication (indicating how the target will be identified) and Type (indicating how they will fire).
  • In the Japanese version, Grit wears a cowboy hat in all the games, whereas in the English version, he wears a Russian military cap instead. The cowboy hat was retained for his design in the Reboot Camp remake.
