Shiroi

Shiroi is the main character of The Ennead. He is a Japanese merchant with a family including a daughter named Nahiri. His wife either left him or died. He was initially commissioned to deliver the Yokishima Blade from Japan to St. Stephen's Cathredal in Austria. Shiroi started to gain companions in the form of legendary creatures Kyuri the kappa and Baku the tanuki. During the passage to Austria, he also met and began to fancy Elizabeth, who wound up helping their group after an unfortunate incident led to her father's death after he tried to kill Kyuri.

Taking the Yokishima Blade to St. Stephen's wound up being the least of their worries, as he and his ever-increasing group wound up being caught in a clash between Masamune and Vorpal. As the story remains unfinished, his fate is unknown.
