Overview[edit]

The premise originated from a gamehike chat where everyone suddenly started discussing what an OG featuring all the Gamehikers as students in a high school would be like. The ideas were interesting enough to base an OG around. As with the other acclaimed OG started from a chat, there was some debate on the OG's setting this time set into effect by the heartless Luiigii of the Pipes, who said college was more interesting. So it was called "Gamehiker High University" so that people could inconsistently shift between calling it a high school and college as they so pleased but everyone treated it as a high school anyways so up your's. The first OG was a classic that belongs in every library.

Plot Summary[edit]

The readers are introduced to the protagonist, Golem, and the troubles of his everyday life at Gamehiker High University. Eventually he has two responsibilities thrust upon him - Toby pressures him into throwing a party to impress Sapphire, the girl of his dreams, while HeadMaster Mune enlists Golem into being a coach for the BIG GAME as well as hosting it at his house on the same night that the party was scheduled for. At the same time, everyone else goes through their problems - Yami attempts to drop out of school due to Lupus's pressuring, only to be convinced to stay and reformed into a prep kid by the school. He then must face the revenge of foreign exchange student Gamechamp, who struggles with the problems of cheetie sheeties. Headmaster Mune faces the prospect of love when he finds himself infatuated with Rebe, a girl who has history with Professor Luiigii. GM and Tyler investigate the schemes of Dean Ditto while Kester tries to prove Vivid is a girl and Sapphire seeks revenge on Professor Vorpal, finally achieving the tools when Mole Man tells her about his forbidden love affair with the student Kuria.

Everything comes together at the BIG GAME. Golem runs back and forth between the game and the party while plenty of crazy crap happens. In the end it could be said that none of the plots are truly resolved save for the Gamehiker team winning the BIG GAME, and like in all sitcoms, the resolution is only delayed. Yami becomes a slacker kid again but also secretly studies. Sapphire doesn't blow the whistle on Professor Vorpal's secret for a few more OGs, and Golem, in a shock ending, finds himself being kissed by Elzie instead of Sapphire. Kester presents all of this as a report and is failed by Professor GORE.
