Debut | Metroid Prime: Hunters |
One of the new bounty hunters featured in Metroid Prime Hunters, Spire was first encountered by Samus Aran on the planet Alinos, a Alimbic planet in the Tetra Galaxy. Although defeated, he frequently appeared to battle Samus again in an attempt to collect the artifacts she had already found.
Background[edit]
Spire's past is a mystery, even to himself. He is the last known living Diamont, a species of silicon-based beings composed of organic rock from the planet Mondreus. The fate of his planet is unknown, but Spire became a bounty hunter. His time as a bounty hunter has sent him from one edge of the galaxy to another, while he continually looks for any trace of his people.
Like many others, he received the call to the Tetra Galaxy with the promise of great power. Hoping to use whatever this power was to aid him in his quest, he quickly headed to the Tetra Galaxy to begin his search. His efforts were consistently foiled by Samus Aran, but like the other bounty hunters, he quickly headed into the Oubliette to find the power himself. What he and the others found was the creature Gorea, which swiftly defeated the six of them and absorbed their weapon systems. While Samus Aran dealt with Gorea, he was able to to flee the Oubliette before it exploded.
Spire is able to transform into the Dialanche, his Morph Ball form. Spire prefers the Magmaul, a Fire-based weapon that can possibly cause damage to the user if fired too close.
Trivia[edit]
- Spire appears as a trophy in Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
