Background[edit]
Lena was born into a powerful noble family of Macedon, with her mother being a court bishop in Grust's royal court. When she was only ten, her mother died and she went to live with her grandfather at Grust. She met Camus there, who shaped her life, leading her to greatly respect him. Brought up as a cleric, she came to respect all life and seek ultimate good above all. However, at one point when her father summoned her to Macedon's royal court, she was noticed by Michalis, who wanted to marry her for her beauty and wisdom as well as her ties to elder nobility. She refused his proposal and fled Macedon.
BS FIre Emblem[edit]
It is uncertain exactly how, but she soon came to be associated with the thieves Julian and Rickard. She was first known to be traveling with Rickard in Pales soon after it was occupied by Grust. Lena had been made an honorary thief by Rickard, but this was only because she was using their spoils for charitable works. At the same time, Rickard was manipulating her somewhat as he did not seem to want to use the money (or at least all of it) for people other than himself. When Rickard went to loot the Millenial Palace, Lena at first stayed behind until a citizen harassed her, and Navarre came to her rescue. She then hired Navarre as they bodyguard and with Rickard and Castor, they proceeded to enter the palace.
They were eventually caught by General Camus, who recognized Lena. She attempted to defend them by saying that Archanea needed the money because of how it had been ravaged by the war. Camus at first refused to listen to her, until Princess Nyna convinced them otherwise, and they were dropped off at the city's outskirts with even more treasure provided by Nyna.
Book One[edit]
Lena later stayed at Galder Harbor for a while, but later left against the villagers' concerns to care for sick people up in the dangerous Ghoul's Teeth. She was captured by a band of thieves called the Soothsires there. However Julian, who was one of the theives, joined with her and helped her to escape his former friends. Lena at first refused to go without her Mend staff and offered to send Julian away with her Warp staff to protect him, but he refused to leave her side and together they soon met and banded with Marth's Altean army in Chapter 3. She could later help to recruit her brother Matthis and learned of how Macedon had gotten worse since she left. He also warned her not to let a thief steal her heart, as if somehow knowing of her predicament,
After the war ended, Lena opened a convent in Macedon where she cared for orphans.
Book Two[edit]
At some point over the next three years, Lena took the young Malliesia as her pupil. However, she went missing as she was captured by one of Gharnef's dark bishops. She, along with the other noble-blooded maidens Nyna, Elice and Maria, were planned to be used as sacrifices to resurrect Medeus as a shadow dragon. The four women were placed under a hypnotic spell and acted as human shields for Medeus in the final chapter, and he could drain their health to replenish his own. However, the spell on Lena could be broken if Julian spoke to her. She apologized for always acting like a spoiled brat to him and requested that they live together in Macedon afterwards, believing that the deities would forgive her for breaking her vow of celibacy due to her love for him. With the war over, they returned to Macedon and cared for the children at the orphanage together.
Other Appearances[edit]
- Rena appears in the second episode of the Fire Emblem OVA, which depicts Julian's attempt to rescue her from the Soothsires, and Navarre also plays a large role in her escape while she helps him to see the possibility of redemption.
Trivia[edit]
- In Monshou no Nazo she receives Support Bonuses from Julian, and in Shadow Dragon he gets Support Bonuses from him and Matthis.
