Background[edit]

Weavel was originally a normal Space Pirate of significant importance. During a battle with Samus Aran, he and his soldiers were soundly defeated. Althought he survived, only his brain and spinal cord were left in tact. Using Space Pirate technology, he was rebuilt into a cyborg creature packed with powerful weapons and a Half Turret ability that let him split into two. Weavel's weapon of choice is the Battlehammer, which is a continuous beam, meaning that it does not have a charge function.

Like the other bounty hunters, he travelled to the Alimbic Cluster to get the secret power himself, although his loyalties to the Space Pirates were questionable at best. Due to the losses he suffered at Samus's hands, he had a particular vendetta against her. He was unsuccessful in stopping her, but instead travelled to the Oubliette himself to get the power. Instead he was confronted with Gorea and despite teaming up with the other Bounty Hunters, was defeated and had his weapon absorbed. He was able to escape afterwards before the Oubliette exploded.
