Allen is a playable unit in Fire Emblem: Fuuin no Tsurugi known for his rash behavior.

Background

Hailing from Pherae, Allen became a cavalier and became sparring partners with Lance, a foreigner. Unlike his more strategic-minded companion, Allen was extremely dutiful in his training. He regularly would do hundreds - sometimes a thousand sword thrusts as training, even in the midsts of battle. He was known however for being very rash and charging headfirst into battle.

At the opening of the war, Allen had been traveling with Roy, Wolt, Bors, and Lilina back to Pherae. After Lilina had continued ahead to the castle, they received a message saying that bandits had attacked the palace. Starting in "Chapter 1: Dawn of Destiny", he helped to retake the castle. From that point he became a permanent member of Roy's army, alongside fellow knight Lance of whom he was close friends with.

Following the war he returned to Pherae with Roy. He lent his hand in helping to rebuild the wartorn land. His willpower to push forward no matter what inspired many and gave them hope.

Support Conversation Summaries

Allen is capable of having support conversations with six other characters.

  • Roy- In their first conversation, Allen finds Roy trying to work out a strategy for the battle. Allen volunteers to charge into their defenses, but Roy rejects the offer. In the following support Roy is still thinking out a strategy and Allen suggests a tactic that would result in casualties, which Roy does no want to do. In their final conversation Allen admits that he isn't sure there is a thing such as true victory with no casualties, but that he'll give Roy his full support.
  • Wolt- In their first conversation, Wolt finds Allen in the middle of practicing his sword thrusts in the middle of battle. In their second conversation, Wolt is shocked to find Allen having just finished 1000 strokes and asks if its really wise to tire himself out in battle, but Allen says they have to get stronger for Roy's sake. In their final conversation, Allen finds Wolt has begun to also train and praises him for his efforts.
  • Marcus- Marcus talks to Allen about his style and tells him that he should not always charge immediately into battle and leave Roy behind. He appreciates Allen's style of fighting, but he also tells Allen that he must learn to take time to think and pick the proper style of fighting in a given situation in order to ensure Roy's safety. Allen manages to follow Marcus's advice and implement new styles in combat, and Marcus tells Allen that he could succeed him one day after he retires. Allen was startled by this new, but Marcus reminded him to calm down and told him that he needed to grow with Roy as a knight and as a person.
  • Lance- Allen asks how Lance is faring in battle and says that thought he lagged behind last time, he'll be sure to surpass him next time. In the next conversation, Lance tells Allen that if they should be in a losing battle, that Allen should take Roy and flee while he acts as a decoy to the enemy. Allen is shocked by that and says that he's just as important as everyone and that he shouldn't just throw his life away. In the final conversation Lance admits that he was wrong and Allen vows that if they do lose, that Lance won't be alone in staying behind to buy time.
  • Ward- After introducing one another, Ward challenges Allen to a fight, which he loses. In their second conversation, they have another duel and Ward manages to win, but notes that Allen is very strong. In their final conversation they duel yet again and afterwards conclude that they can't lose against the enemy if both of them are fighting.
  • Thito- In their first conversation, Thito lectures Allen on his rash way of attacking, which Allen simply shrugs off. In the next conversation, Thito continues to browbeat Allen, but he explains that the reason he attacks thus is because he has to show the enemy his full might and if he cringes, he will raise enemy morale. In their final conversation, Thito notes that he still hasn't changed his pattern and she agrees to accompany him on the front lines to give him support.
