Clefable is a large-fairy like Pokémon that was introduced in the first generation Pokémon games. It is the evolved form of Clefairy, and the introduction of Cleffa in the second generation retroactively made Clefable into the third and final form of Cleffa's evolutionary line.
Information[edit]
Clefairy evolves into Clefable when exposed to a Moon Stone, and it is described as a type of fairy. It is rarely seen due to being timid and protective of their own world. They avoid loud noises or busy places, refusing to come out of people and running and hiding the moment it sense is people. Clefable instead prefer quiet, remote mountains. It has sensitive ears that can pick up distant noises, to the point where it is said to hear a pin dropping 1,100 yards away.
They move by skipping lightly, as if using their wings, and they have been known to take strolls on lakes on quiet, moonlit nights. The full moon usually draws it to deserted lakes.
Appearances[edit]
Mainstream Games[edit]
Clefable can only be obtained through evolution in most of the games until Pokémon: Black and White Versions, where they can be rarely found from rustling grass at the Giant Chasm.
Other Games[edit]
In Pokémon Pinball as well as Pokémon Pinball: Red and Blue Rescue Teams, Clefable could only be obtained through evolution. Among the Pokémon-related e-Reader games, Clefable was featured in the "Metronome" short in which performed Metronome, which either turned day into night (while summoning a Haunter that scared it away) or using Explosion with the end result of being covered in char. In Pokémon Trozei!, Clefable could be found in Endless Level 51, Forever Level 1, Pair Trozei and Mr. Who's Den. In Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of Time and Darkness, they appear on the first nineteen basement floors of Marine Resort. They also appear in Pokémon Rumble at Rocky Cave. In Pokémon Rumble Blast, it appeared at the Autumnwood area of Firebreathing Mountain once the main storyline was completed.
Other Appearances[edit]
