Miror B. is a recurring boss character appearing in both Pokémon Colosseum and its sequel Pokémon XD: Gale of Darkness. He is a flamboyant Pokémon criminal with a love of dancing. He is often accompanied by a group of Ludicolo that join him in his dance routines as well as his minions Folly and Trudly.
Background[edit]
Miror B. was originally one of the four Cipher Admins, who was stationed in Pyrite City and conducted Cipher operations within the city from his base within Pyrite Cave, which doubled as a dance studio. He was the only one of the admins not to have a legendary Shadow Pokémon, as his Shadow Pokémon was instead a Sudowoodo. He manipulated the city's mayor, Duking, into giving him free reign by capturing his beloved Plusle and holding it hostage. He was first seen on a visit to Phenac City, where he threatened Wes and left behind Folly, Trudley and several peons to defeat Wes and capture Rui for Cipher, as she was wanted for her ability to sense Shadow Pokémon.
Wes ultimately confronted Miror B. in his lair after defeating Folly and Trudley, and proceeded to defeat Miror B. in battle, at which point he fled. His failed successor, Mirakle B., took his place at the cave. Miror later reappeared at Realgam Tower with the other three admins, where Wes had to battle him again. He was once more defeated and then surrendered his Red ID Badge before fleeing again. He could then be challenged in the Deep Colosseum.
Five years later, in Pokémon XD, he resurfaced as a wandering trainer accompanied by Folly and Trudly. They attempted to capture various Pokémon to form their own Team Miror B.. Due to their lazy natures, Folly and Trudly secretly attached an antenna to Miror and used a device called the Miror Radar to track whenever he was nearby so that they could pretend to be busy. However, they met a new enemy in the form of Micheal. Micheal first met them at the Poké Spot, and Miror battled him due to suspecting that he could become a threat eventually, only to lose. His minions also dropped the Miror Radar, which Micheal could use to track him at several places throughout Orre.
After that, Miror B. would show up in Realgam Tower Colosseum on occasion, where Michael could snag one of his Shadow Pokémon, including Nosepass and Dragonite. Miror could also possess any of the Shadow Pokémon that had run away from their trainers, if Michael failed to snag them. After all other Shadow Pokémon had been captured, Micheal could battle an irritated Miror B. atop the Gateon Port's lighthouse for the final Shadow Pokémon, a Dragonite.
Pokémon Roster[edit]
His roster differs depending on the battle.
Colosseum[edit]
- Ludicolo (4 in first battle, 2 in second, 3 at Deep Colosseum)
- Sudowoodo (Shadow, only until Snagged)
- Golduck (second battle only)
- Armaldo (second and Deep Colosseum battle, if Sudowoodo snagged only)
- Exploud (Deep Colosseum battle only)
Pokémon XD[edit]
- Lombre (3 at Cave Poké Spot and Outskirt Stand)
- Voltorb (Shadow, Cave Poké Spot)
- Nosepass (Shadow, replaces Shadow Voltorb)
In battles at Pyrite Colosseum, Realgam Tower and the various Poké Spots, Miror B. will use a random roster of Pokémon from the following list, in addition to one of any Shadow Pokémon the player had failed to snag from another trainer:
- Lombre (2 at Pyrite, 1 at Realgam)
- Ludicolo
- Voltorb (Pyrite)/Electrode (Realgam)
- Hoppip (Pyrite)/Jumpluff (Realgam)
- Sudowoodo
- Nuzleaf (Pyrite)/Shiftry (Realgam)
In the final battle, Miror B. uses five Ludicolo and a Shadow Dragonite.
Trivia[edit]
- Miror B is a pun on Mirror Ball.
- His favorite Pokemon is Ludicolo.
- He is unique among the characters in the game for having his own theme music. This is a Latin dance theme in Colosseum and a disco-themed remix in XD.
