Pidove is a basic bird Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. It is the first in a three-step evolutionary line, with its evolved forms being Tranquill and Unfezant.
Information[edit]
Pidove is a pigeon-like Pokémon that usually lives in cities. They are accustomed to people, and flocks of Pidove gather in parks and plazas. Pidove with trainers usually endeavor to follow their trainer's orders as closely as they can. However, they can sometimes fail to understand complex commands.
It evolves into Tranquill at Level 21.
Appearances[edit]
Mainstream Games[edit]
In Pokémon: Black and White Versions, Pidove can commonly be found at Route 3 and Pinwheel Forest.
Other Games[edit]
In Pokémon Rumble Blast, Pidove was found at the forest of Trailhead Field. In PokéPark 2: Wonders Beyond, Pidove was found at Seasong Beach in the Cove Area and was befriended by bringing it to a fountain.
Other Appearances[edit]
Other Media[edit]
- In the Pokémon anime, Pidove is the first Pokémon Ash caught in Unova in the second episode set there. He initially wound up provoking a flock of Pidove into attacking him when he tried to catch one, but after they left he was able to catch one that stayed behind. This Pidove was female, and Ash sometimes used it to try to seek other Pokémon. This Pidove evolved into a Tranquill twenty episodes after being caught while fighting off Venipede at Castelia City.
- In the Pokémon Adventures manga, a Pidove has appeared as part of White's talent agency during the Black/White arc. Additionally, Skyla managed to catch and treat a wounded Pidove at the top of the Celestial Tower (standing in for the unnamed Flying-type Pokémon that she treated there in the game).
