Overview

This was the last installment of the Member OG series on VGF. Due to annoyances caused by VGF's administration (such as Yami Yoshi's demodding), it was decided that the series would be moved onto the Gamehiker Forums with the next OG. Originally, since Fred (and I think Lupus showed some interest too) wanted to post in it and was banned from VGF, a second version was started at the Gamehiker Forums. Because GORE was high on Mega Man Battle Network, the two versions were called VGF Moon and Gamehiker Sun.

Unfortunately, Fred was the only person interesting in Gamehiker Sun, and it died silently, leaving only one awkwardly-titled MOG6. This OG brought the MPVP plotline to a close (except that Akujin and his pals kept showing up in the later OGs, dammit) and foreshadowed a great return by Lupus which turned out not to be so great since his author only returned for like one post.

Plot Summary

After the destruction of Earth at the end of Member OG 5: Secret of the Ooze, the OGers have wandered space in search of a way to defeat (or potentially defat) Akujin and the MPVP. Their journeys bring them to the planet Hilt, where they are reunited with their old friend SwordMaster. On Krad, Fusion helps Black Skull Dragoshi to sneak around in search of his past. Saru arrives to help them, but Fusion and Saru are immediately suspicious of each other. Eventually Fusion is captured by Skelegon, and his blood is taken. The Fusion Blood is then used to mutate the Kradian army into powerful Fusion Kradians.

In the afterlife, Introbulus is restored to life after a meeting with Eerie. But his boss says that the revival is only temporary so he could accomplish his mission: to stop the S-Space deterioration by killing the OGers. Introbulus reluctantly accepts this mission and begins traveling with the Robot Team, whom have apparently joined up with the MPVP. Robobulus, determined to stay on the opposite side of Introbulus, then leaves the MPVP to join up with the OGers. But Robobulus later is captured by Introbulus and imprisoned on Krad.

The OGers wind up in the middle of a big space battle and afterwards crash-land on Krad. They embark in several battles with the Kradians and General Pluto. They are also joined by the newcomer, AaronGuy, who had just barely escaped Earth's destruction. Eventually they are saved by Daioshogun and the forces of Militia. They are taken to Militia and learn of a three-way war between Militia, Krad and Hephaestia (although Hephaestia was only at war with Militia and did not believe that Krad was there). On the planet, the Militians and their King Senso refuse to let them leave. Eventually it is found to be the Anti-OG Six who make the Militians believe that the OGers are spies. The Anti-OG Six flees with Team Monkey after the OGers are arrested, but That Guy is able to prove their innocence.

The OGers then defend Miltia from the forces of Gato Diablo III, who is ultimately bested by SwordMaster. Afterwards, they learn that Akujin is planning to use X-Bombs to blow up Militia, Hipponia and even Krad. Akujin planned to evacuate only his men, and leaving the Kradians he despise (with the exception of Dr. Beezlebub) to their fates. AaronGuy was later taken by Culex. After he learned the severity of the situation, Culex agreed to help. The OGers then travelled to Krad. Fusion had escaped with Saru's help, but in the meantime BSD had found the Holy Plot Device (Reverb). Aside from reviving Pharoah Yami Yoshi, BSD also restored his memories, which caused him to regress into his original evil stage.

The OGers soon arrived on Krad and found themselves battling Hades, the commander of the Kradian forces. GORE battled Hades and told him the truth about Akujin's plans to blow up Krad. Shocked, Hades retreated from the battle in order to confront Akujin about this matter. Akujin confirmed his plans, and Hades attempted to take Akujin on in battle. But Hades failed and was killed in the following battle. The OGers met up with Fusion and Saru, and took on BSD while searching for the X-Bombs. But Pharoah started to die, while BSD started to forget his past. What they thought was the Holy Plot Device (Reverb) was actually the Holy Plot Device (Echo), which only granted temporary wishes. BSD rejoined Akujin in hopes of discovering his past. Finally, Introbulus was sent to kill them. But the OGers were able to convince them that Akujin posed a greater threat to the S-Space deterioration, and so Introbulus rejoined them. Akujin soon set off the X-Bombs, but the OGers were able to escape the destruction of the three planets in time with Culex's powers. They then made their way to the Main MPVP Headquarters. GORE-ILLA had already arrived there and, after confronting Akujin, learned that he was not The Monkey after all. He proceeded to obliterate The Monkey from his mind and body, restoring him as a cyborg.

GORE rejoined the OGers as they began their attack on the headquarters. They were each sent into their own personal battles aftewards against various MPVP members such as Qwirtzok, King Bob, Chaos and Dr. Beezlebub. Yami Yoshi found Qwirtzok was possessing his descendant Chizu, and then it was revealed that the Pharoah's soul now inhabited Yami's body. Qwirtzok was driven out of Chizu's mind, and Chizu was able to destroy him. GORE was also able to destroy Beezlebub, and learned that he still had good in him in the end. Fred came from literally nowhere in order to battle King Bob and avenge Wafflonia. After most of the OGers were reunited, they defeated Shade one last time and went on to battle Akujin.

Akujin inhabited a room containing the Holy Plot Device (Reverb). Dark Jim tried to betray Akujin by making a wish on this Holy Plot Device (Reverb), only to be killed by Akujin. Akujin split himself into six to battle the OGers. One by one, the dopplegangers were destroyed and absorbed by Culex until only the original remained. Akujin was finally defeated with the use of Hades' soul, which the OGers used to explode him with his own attack.

Critique

  • Yami Yoshi- This was long and boring and in retrospect pretty poorly written. Akujin dies.
  • Fred's Rebuttal- Yeah, but there were some neat characters! All of whom were of course either forgotten or died, but... c'mon, Hades and the Kradians and Gato Diablo III... Not to mention Erebus or whoever and his lover... nevermind, forget that last one.
  • GORE-ILLA- I regret nothing! Except that we killed Jim, and ignored Robobulus to an ambiguous fate. It's definitely better then the third MOG5, especially since this OG has a variety of different locations and planets while half of MOG 5-3 is just battles inside and outside the Apocalypse.
  • Golem - Freakin' epic.
  • Masamune - Yawn. Didn't read it.

Philosophical Crap

Fusion's blood being used against the OGers stands as a warning against having great power; it can easily be used against you if improperly handled. (In other words, with great power comes great responsibility lawl.)

Quotes

Beezlebub: (pulls out a video cassette) Yes, the tape of Pharoah Qwirtzok's fate, taken on accident by someone trying to tape the Friends finale...

Gore: And that's what happened.

Swordmaster: ...Did you have to use puppets?

Gore: Hey, I barely ever get a chance to use these, I'm not about to pass one up!

Robobulus: I have no idea. However, it appears that Introbulus has joined the evil side. Therefore, I must oppose him and fight for the good side!

Yami Yoshi: Sooooo…you’re saying that you must always fight on the opposite side of Introbulus?

Robobulus: That is correct.

Yami Yoshi: Ha ha ha…you’re crazy.

Gamechamp rushes at the two Fusion Kradians and ducks over thier punches, and trips them. Before touching the ground, he does two silmotaneous uppercuts and they go flying in the air. Gamechamp points his buster gun and charges it. He then realeases a gigantic energy wave of death, obliterating them.

Yellow: Wait... why don't we ever just do that to the OGers?

Gamechamp: ... I don't know...

Yami Yoshi: FOOD!!

*Yami Yoshi extends his long red tongue and wraps it around a juicy roasted turkey. Yami Yoshi reels in his tongue and swallows the turkey, bones and all*

GORE: Yami Yoshi! Where are your mann— *notices a bowl of cheese* OMFG CH3353!!11ONE

*Foaming at the mouth, GORE snatches the bowl of cheese and pops it into his mouth, swallowing the entire bowl whole*

Dark Jim: What do you want? I'm busy.

Introbulus: Could you just... show me Jim? One last time?

~Silence. Then Dark Jim's cloak changes its color to that of Jim.~

Jim: Don't worry, Introbulus. Follow what you truly believe and you can't go wrong.

~Silence, and the cloak changes color back to Dark Jim's color.~

Introbulus: Was that really... Jim? Was it really him?

Dark Jim: ~somewhat soft voice~ Does it matter?

~Dark Jim continues on his way.~

Legion: Apparently you haven't met a gun before... ~Legion shoots a bullet straight through Shade's right fist and up through his arm, slowing the attack down. Legion jumps backwards to avoid the rest of the attack's momentum.~ We don't have time for games, SwordMaster. ~GORE leaps from what seems to be nowhere and grabs onto Shade's left arm with all his might.~ Daishogun, bless his soul, but he was a big waste of time. The clock ticks and all you can think of is honor. When you give Akujin time, you give him what he wants.

Akujin: It's time to pull the plug. I'd've gotten away with my scheme by now if it weren't for you meddling kids and your gorilla!

GORE: ROOBY-ROOBY-ROO!
