Simisear is a flame-using Pokémon that was introduced in the fifth generation games. It is the evolved form of Pansear. Just as Pansear forms a part of a trio of elemental monkeys, so is Simisear part of a trio of their evolved forms, with the other two being Simisage and Simipour.
Information[edit]
Simisear evolves form Pansear when exposed to a Fire Stone. Like many fire-type Pokémon, it has an actual fire burning within its body. Simisear has a taste for sweets, which as fuel for this internal fire. It has been known to scatter embers from its head and tail in an attempt to scare opponents.
Appearances[edit]
Mainstream Games[edit]
It can only be obtained through evolution or trading starting in the fifth generation.
Other Games[edit]
In Pokémon Rumble Blast, Simisear was found at the cave area of Echo Valley and the lava area of World Axle's first basement floor.
Other Appearances[edit]
Other Media[edit]
- In the Pokémon anime, a wild Simisear was featured in one episode where it antagonized Emolga, Axew and Oshawott after a Watchog had enraged it by accidentally knocking it out of its tree. Snivy joined the fray, and it ended with the Simisear reluctantly leaving after Snivy and Emolga saved it from a boulder.
Trivia[edit]
- Its name is a combination of "simian" and "sear".
