Kirby's Dream Land 2 is the second Kirby's Dream Land game and the thrid game in the Kirby series.

Story

The rainbows that connect the islands of Dream Land have been stolen by King Dedede, who is possessed by Dark Matter. Kirby must defeat him and restore order to the land.

Gameplay

Kirby's Dream Land followed the established Kirby formula. Kirby runs, jump, flies, and inhales enemies to copy their abilities.

This game introduced animal allies that helped Kirby through the levels. Rick the Hamster could carry Kirby up walls. Coo the Owl could fly through strong winds that Kirby couldn't. Kine the Ocean Sunfish could help Kirby swim.

Sequels

The next game in the series, Kirby's Dream Land 3, was released for the Super Nintendo in 1997.
