Drake is the fourth and final member of Hoenn's Elite Four battled in Pokémon: Ruby , Sapphire and Pokémon: Emerald Versions. He specializes in dragon-type Pokémon.

Background

Drake was the dragon master who served as the leader of Hoenn's Elite Four. He lives to battle every day in order to learn more about Pokémon and remarks on their nature, believing that the one thing needed to battle with Pokémon is a virtuous heart due to Pokémon touching and reflecting the good hearts of their trainers. His battle strategy is to harness strong abilities.

In Ruby, Sapphire and Emerald, Drake is defeated by Brendan/May, leading him to conclude that they had the heart of a good trainer. He then sent the trainer onwards to face the champion.

Other Appearances

• Drake appears in one episode of the Pokémon anime series, being the only member of the Hoenn Elite Four to appear so far. In this episode he is shown to own a ship, and he challenges and defeats Ash in battle to teach Ash humility due to his growing overconfidence.
