Jim is the sidekick of Introbulus who primarily appeared throughout the Member OG series. He takes on the form of a floating red cloak with only glowing yellow eyes and is an embodiment of pure evil.
Background[edit]
Jim originates from the same Dungeons & Dragonsque world as Introbulus and comes from a merger between two beings. The first was a human "mystical mage of powerful powerness" named Jim Finkleberryworth, who went on a quest approximately 100 years before Introbulus wound up going on his own quest which resulted in the univere's destruction. The second being a was a nameleess living cloak that had been sealed away by unknown forces in a one-way Indestructo-Glass case. Jim Finkleberryworth discovered the cloack on a wooden coat stand in the glass case on his travels, and "being the greey little bastard he was", he shattered the glass and wore the cloak, only for it to eat him alive.
The cloak proceeded to take on Jim's name (while dropping his last name because he didn't think very highly of it). The cloak had originally been a neutral creature, but the new combination of human and black mage struck soomething in him that caused a split. This was resolved when his sides reached a compromise in that Jim's evil side would be predominant while his good side would strive to be good in in all cases. This resulted in a being of pure evil who strove to be as good as possible, despite being a devourer of living souls made out of pure evil, giving him less inspiration to try so hard. He decides his actions based on logic and reason instead of emotion and other typical human flaws. Jim always absorbs energy around him to keep himself alive, mostly microorganisms and free-floating energy, but absorbing too much evil energy would cause him to transfrom into Dark Jim, who is basically Jim without the desire for good. The only way to revert him to "normal" Jim would be by getting him to absorb enough dark energy. He has also been described by Golem as the first S-Space being in the universe that the OGs are set in.
Dark Jim's origins are a bit confused as well- although it is implied Jim always had the ability to transform into Dark Jim, Member OG 3 said that Dark Jim had been created by the MPVP as a duplicate of Jim to serve them, powered by the Evil Orb, after Jim and Introbulus had helped them to seal away Evil- although I guess it could be said that MPVP's duplicate only accomplished the purpose of giving Dark Jim a separate form from Jim, and Jim later absorbed Dark Jim sometime prior to MOG at which point it returned to the system of him transforming into Dark Jim whenever absorbing too much evil energy.
It was said that Jim traveled for 100 years before meeting Introbulus, although it is unsure if their first meeting occurred before or after the old universe's destruction. At some point he wound being enlisted into the Inter-Dimensional-Space-Time-Police and assigned to look into the universe's destruction shortly after it occurred, at which point he found Introbulus there. Jim was assigned to look over Introbulus to prevent him from destroying the universe again, and unbenownst to Jim, Introbulus was also told to look over Jim and prevent him from being overtaken by his evil. Over the next billions of years, they learned how to work well together (with Introbulus seemingly having an impact on Jim's preference for good deeds) and combine themselves in order to form a being more powerful than themselves, called Jimtrobulus. He also was able to stop Introbulus from destroying the universe after his powers went out of control at one point.
Bad Timeline[edit]
Jim first appeared in Member OG where he and Introbulus were sent to look into the Lupus incident. Jim was sent to work undercover with the villains- first accidentally working under Sephnita, he then helped Dark GORE and Diskun with their journey in Hell until he was left behind for a while. He showed up at several points throughout the story, but didn't do much besides starting his running gag of threatening the narrirator. In Member OG 2: The Jewel Heist, he joined Introbulus for the expedition to Mystery and then accompanied the OGers throughout the adventure until the overwhelming amount of evil (likely influenced by the high presence of evil dopplegangers such as Dark GORE, Shadow Dragoshi and Pharoah Yami Yoshi) caused him to transform into Dark Jim. He was forgotten and overlooked at several points as Gamechamp and later Sephnita took center stage, and in the end Dark Jim wound up sealed within the Time Rip.
In Member OG 3: Subtitle Soon!, Dark Jim executed a variety of plots to escape from the Time Rip and eventually succeeded, although at some point somehow Jim and Dark Jim wound up split into separate beings. The "normal" Jim did not do much throughout the remainder of Member OG 3 and Member OG 4. Then in Member OG 5: Secret of the Ooze, he and Introbulus were captured by the MPVP, who sent Robobulus and Dark Jim to infiltrate the OGers in their place. Jim and Introbulus than fused into Jimtrobulus to take on enemies such as Shade, but they eventually met their match in the form of Akujin, who defeated them. While they were unfused and knocked out, Dark Jim utilized this opportunity to absorb Jim back into himself, this time with Dark Jim being prominent. Dark Jim only briefly reverted to Jim as a favor to Introbulus at one point in Member OG 6: VGF Moon and in the end Dark Jim was torn apart by Akujin, with Jim dying with him.
At the end of Member OG 10: Full Circle, the Stone of Restoration caused Introbulus's cape to transform into a Jim-like creature called James. However, James was possessed by Eerie I and battled Introbulus until he used the progression stone to eject Eerie from the cape, which was not mentioned again and seemingly destroyed with Introbulus, Eerie and the empty new universe.
