Big Al is a supporting character in the Party Goers series, particularly its spin-offs as well as frequent appearances in the Fanventures.
Background
Distinguishing features: Pince Nez glasses, mechanical arm, bombmaking ability.
Since Al didn't appear until after the time shift in the original series, his past didn't change much at all. He started as a minor supervillain in Queenland in a separate series. He lost his arm refusing to harm an innocent bystander, and was arrested and imprisoned. It's unclear how he managed to escape, or if he was simply released. However, he visited a psychiatrist for several months to rehabilitate himself into not being superpowered, since superhumanism is a mental condition.
Nothing much is known about him until he started popping up randomly in several conflicting continuities simultaneously, as appearantly, an apprentice to Nintenfreak. He is, however, friends with Flutter, being two sides of the same coin. His allignment from hero to villian shifts with Flutter usually, unless they're fighting, when he cries in the corner.
Regardless of continuity, he has a wife and daughter, Enthree, who is wholly more competent than himself. The rest of his family are members of a separate non-OG series. Aqualia, his sister; Infra Red, his father; and Ultra Violet, his mother. Despite being evil, he was always very close to them having similar powers.
Big Al met with Golem and joined him in several adventures, including most of the Fanventures where he was often accompanied by Flutter.
Timeline History
Good Timeline
Big Al makes a cameo in Gamehiker Member OG IV: Cheesecake of the Gods as an 'orphan' that was adopted by Dark Ditto, though it's unlikely that was the real Big Al. "Little Big Al"? Gimme a break. He makes a more actual appearance in Gamehiker Member OG X: The Shrack of Neely as the teacher of a fourth grade class. It is shown that Golem had previously entrusted him with Quez, but when members of the Sweet Sixteen came to claim it, but Big Al is able to somehow pull himself into the rubberband and disappear with it. After men in Luigi_64 masks attack his house and knock out Enthree, he poses as one of them with the help of Yoshiman and Flutter, then rescues Enthree and helps in fighting off members of the Sweet Sixteen later on.
Old Al
Seen in GMOGX. Old Al is Big Al 25 years later in an alternate good timeline. He hid his daughter and students underground, and trained them as a resistance group. While something rended him parapalegic, he's still rather spry for being around 60. When Enthree is kidnapped by Team Rocket Omega for new god Luigi 64's harem, Al attempts to create an alliance with the cowboys and knights in Guanamannistan, but the new gods have other plans, and their combined Final Judgment attack sent the eternity of his Disneyland base to the Zone of Despair. There, he plans to draw in the new gods to the Zone of Despair, with the help of Arab Dude's knowledge of the realm.
It might be best to characterize Old Al as a militant atheist, as he's declared war on the new gods. He's serious, but still tries to be fun loving. Always gives his "nephew" Cobalt red roses to take to his poor mother.
Neutral Timeline
Big Al appears in several installments of the Mega Mega Extreme Doki Doki Panik series. Though not an official member of the Mega Mega Extreme Doki Doki Panik Party, he appeared in Mega Mega Extreme Doki Doki Panik 3: Very Foreign Policy, where he was hired by Japan to spy on Russia, who in turn ordered him to spy on America to find out the Survivor II winner, as well as in Mega Mega Extreme Doki Doki V: It's the Economy/Elections, Stupid, where he becomes the first man on Mars and is seemingly stranded there.
His most important role is that of the Ageless One, in Cat Investigations. In the first OG, he befriends Cat while afflicted with amnesia. Strangely enough, he makes up "Al" as his name when he cannot remember his identity. Later on, he recovers his memory, causing Cat to recognize Al from his old adventures. Big Al ends up taking Wagolem to The Council for processing and takes on his Anti-Space counterpart Big Bull in a battle to the death, one that Al presumably one.
He's then granted the powers of his mentor, and takes up his role to become the Ageless One (Omnipotent beings have a difficult time creating their own bodies). He's nearly killed when his creator stops imagining him, but manages to turn around alright.
Abilities
While it isn't immediately apparent, he has no eyes. All the same, people tend not to notice this, and it hasn't affected his ability to see at all. Big Al's mechanical arm can change shape to aid in any operation. He can also transform into a powerful blue bear known as Big Bear. Perhaps his most important ability is to create Golem dolls out of PVC pipes.
Other Versions
- Big Al, as Nintenfreak Jr., appeared as a developer in Nichibutsu of America: A Game Company OG. His running joke involved him repeatedly asking people to try out his invention, the Glove Boy.
- Big Al appeared in Party Goers Heroes: Romantic Ideals as a part of "Team Nintenfreak".
- In Gamehiker High University, Big Al and Flutter are a pair of jocks and bullies who work under SteveT. Big Al has also become a secret teenage father after stealing a Canadian Baby.
- He appears in Lord of the Parties in a role that is part Merry/Pippin at the beginning, but his role morphs into that of Samwise Gamgee as he accompanies Golem to Rocketsville.
- He appears in Nintenfreak's Party Goers comic with a somewhat large role, and in several "Random Sunday" segments of Vorpal's Comic. In the former, his origin was changed so that he had lost his original arm saving Sapphire's life.
- Was included in the Party Goers Bootleg OGs, where he and his missing arm were once more associated with saving Sapphire at Turquoise.
- Shall appear as a minor, but important, character in The Toadman.
