Overview[edit]
The fourth installment of the Gamehiker Member OG series. This story was notable for the return of Ditto as an OG writer, its critique of Legends Alliance and RPing, and for MJ's completely unrelated tangent. And much more parodies. The parodies this time include Tales of Symphonia, The Legend of Zelda, Batman Begins, A Series of Unfortunate Events, Final Fantasy VI, a little Back to the Future and Star Wars Episode III.
Plot Summary[edit]
At Arab Dude's diner, Luigi 64 is murdered while all the Gamehikers are present. Steve T admits proudly that he is the murderer, but no one seems to hear his repeated and casual confessions. Straw Man then enters, determined to find the killer. He proposes they begin their investigation in Boston. At that moment, Tortilla the Hun, a master chef from Boston, announces on his television show that he killed Luigi 64. After a trip to the Vorp-Cave, the Gamehikers ride to Boston on the Vorp-Tour Bus. Along the way they pick up Princess Andromeda, MJ's wife. In Boston the Carrotcake King, still in Roy's body, convinces Don Cornmuffin the Codfather to destroy the OGers for him.
The Gamehikers arrive in Boston to find it devastated. They all split up, accompanied by Codtroopers, and investigate the area. However the Codtroopers (as well as Lupus and Fred) betray and attack the Gamehikers. It is mentioned that Ditto McCloaker has died (of unspecified reasons), causing Masamune, Vorpal and Slort to undergo a Sequence of Regrettable Occurrences in which they are constantly hounded by Count Dittof, who wants the money Masamune stole from the still-inactive Murasame. In the end they are able to elude Dittof, who is revealed to actually be Dark Ditto. Masamune, Vorpal and Slort then meet with Marin, and they unite as THREE POINT FIVE COMPAÑEROS. During their travels they come across the Dark Knight, who is actually Laura Mario, MJ's real sister.
Luiigii of the Pipes attempts a failed attack on Don Cornmuffin while sending SteveT's team after Tortilla the Hun. Steve winds up deciding to work for Tortilla. Golem, Rebe, Kuria Eiren, Lady in Red, and Yami Yoshi are held captive by Lupus and Fred in a maple syrup death trap, but Rhyk is able to save them. Mario Jr. and Andromeda get lost. Andromeda constantly pressures MJ to leave the OGers for the RPers. However, soon afterwards Andromeda gives birth to their son, Little Urchin. Andromeda than leaves the story and allows MJ to stay. Dodo is able to take on SteveT in a fight. Afterwards Masamune is able to gather all the Gamehikers together except for Luiigii of the Pipes, Dodo and the SteveTrio.
In the meantime the villains establish a base on GORE-LIGAN'S Island, under the command of Dark Ditto. Dark Ditto decides to sway Luiigii of the Pipes to the side of evil again. First he tries tricking him by taking on Ashley's form, then he tries giving Luiigii a friendly tour of his home, and then Dark Ditto resorts to kidnapping Luiigii.
The Gamehikers soon discover that Dark Juno is involved in a plot to turn all OGers into RPers, in the form of maple syrup. Golem, Yami, Lady in Red, Kuria and Rebe had all exposed to the syrup and so became RPers, but they were able to get a cure from EVIL Scientist Dude. They are able to defeat Lupus and Fred, but they also find that the maple syrup has been spread throughout the waterways to infect the entire world. SteveT's group catch wind of this plot and head to GORE-LIGAN'S Island to stop them, but Dark Ditto tricks them, scrubbing them with maple syrup. The Steve Trio revise their origins until they become Sir Steve, Manstraw and Lionel. It is revealed that Dark Juno is not involved in this plot, and it is actually Dark Ditto trying to make everyone RPers so he could become like a god over them all.
Vorp-Man is able to free Luigi, and aided by his new sidekick Martin (who is actually Dodo), they briefly battle Don Cornmuffin until Kuria takes a maple syrup grenade for Vorp-Man. Vorp-Man quickly rushes Kuria back to the Vorp-Cave and gives her the cure. Along the way he causes five hundred deaths while driving wildly in his Vorp-Tank. Luigi Jr. abducts Marin and takes her to the Underworld to confront Laura Mario. Laura reveals that Marin is only a clone of her, and the two begin battling.
Dark Ditto hatches an elaborate scheme to get the Cheesecake of the Gods, by sending Team Rocket off to distract the Gods while Tortilla the Hun sneaks into the Kitchen of the Gods and steals the recipe for the Cheesecake of the Gods. Luiigii confronts Dark Ditto, who has Ashley held hostage. After Luigi refuses to join Dark Ditto, Dark Ditto attempts to kill Ashley but gets Luiigii instead. Masamune decides to recover his S.S. Swordefeller that Steve stole and sold, but first they need to return to the Canadian Dude. So the OGers decide to split up again. Golem and Lady in Red go with Masamune to Canada in search of the boat. Yami Yoshi, GORE-ILLA and Rebe head for Dark Ditto's base on GORE-LLIGAN'S Island. Rhyk, Dodo and Slort are sent to save Marin from the Underworld (and MJ, Fred and Lupus tag along with them).
In Canada, Masa finds he will have to steal the ship. But he then finds that the ship has already been stolen- by Luiigii of the Pipes, who has been resurrected and now wishes to be called Luiigii of the Stars (the name is ignored but later becomes the name for his grandson). The four then ride the Swordefeller to the Heaven-Type Place. In the Kitchen of the Gods they have their final battle with Tortilla the Hun, who is killed when Luiigii stabs him in the back. In the meantime, Lady in Red's secret identity as Sapphire is finally revealed. Although Tortilla is killed, Magikoopa arrives to steal the recipe instead and successfully delivers it to Dark Ditto. One finds the OGers in his kitchen and angrily assaults them. After deafeating One, the OGers then wind up fighting a series of Gods and angels, which really can't be good for their records. Dark Ditto eats the Cheesecake of the Gods and grows angel wings. He then uses his power to control the Gods. The Gamehikers attempt an escape on the Swordefeller, but it is destroyed, causing them to be scattered across the ocean.
Yami, GORE and Rebe are given a ride to the island by Sir Steve, Manstraw and Lynel. In time they are able to realize the trio's evil purposes and defeat them. Marin is given the Star Sword by a mysterious stranger who promises to reveal himself come the next OG. During the final battle between Marin and Laura, MJ's group arrives, and MJ dies after he is caught in the crossfire between the two. Marin's tear revives MJ, and Laura is finished off when she is accidentally impaled on a pole after being doused by a rain of maple syrup from the Heaven-Type Place. The mysterious figure then makes another small appearance, displeased at Marin for choosing "Love" over "ultimate power". Lupus and Fred quickly betray their comrades and capture them, although Marin is able to thwart them.
After a trip across America and Canada, all the Gamehikers are reunited. They are even joined by a hooded figure claiming to be Ditto McCloaker. Along the way the SteveTrio are restored from RPers to OGers. After everyone is gathered, they ride the Omnipotent to the new Ditto Domain. In the end it is Ditto who is able to defeat Dark Ditto, who flees the battle desperately. The Gamehikers all make an escape from the Ditto Domain. However during their escape they find flip open Ditto's hood to find nothing there. They realize that Ditto is still dead.
The Gamehikers are about to return to their normal lives when Straw Man arrives, claiming to have found the killer. Still not noticing that Steve is the killer, Straw Man is certain that GORE-ILLA was the murderer. Even GORE thinks so. After being tried by a court, GORE is sentenced to death by hanging. Even though he is a robot, and thus cannot die from being hanged (he breaks the noose anyway), Fred stages a rescue of GORE that fails. However, THE THREE POINT FIVE COMPAÑEROS and Ashley are able to convince Straw Man to let GORE go.
A post-credits sequence reveals that SteveT is still Sir Steve, but was made by someone who at the time had rushed through the story and was not sure what was going on, so it was disregarded in the next story.
