Sapphire is one of the original Party Goers and generally the mature one among the group. Being the token female in most Party Goers stories (unless accompanied by Elzie), she is usually romantically connected with one of the main male characters - particularly Golem or Vorpal (more like Donkeyman nowadays), in the same way that Jean Grey must choose between Cyclops or Wolverine.

Background[edit]

Sapphire Blue was born to King Blue of Turquoise, but was switched with someone else at birth. It should also be noted that in Gamehiker Member OG VIII: The Final Parody, Donkeyman implies that he brought her to life as a reincarnation of his lost love Ruby Red, I guess you can pretend that's canon if you want. At the age of 15, she joined Golem and Luigi 64 in the original Party Goers adventure, but was repeatedly kidnapped by Team Rocket Omega. She became one of the series' main characters and token female, after Zora disappeared. Sapphire also borrowed King Luigi's Pikachu to protect it from Team Rocket in Party Goers 4, but the two became close so she kept Pikachu over the years.

She later became more rebellious during the PGers' adventures and even attempted to join Team Rocket Omega on several occasions. She eventually found out she was a princess.

Sapphire also has a mysterious umbrella-wielding alterego, known as the Lady in Red. It is not exactly known what caused this transformation; perhaps exposure to a rare gem of some kind enhanced it. At first the Lady in Red was like a different person, though now Sapphire can summon the change at will.

Timeline History[edit]

Good Timeline[edit]

In Gamehiker Member OG, Sapphire at one point horned into the story as a shadowy villain. However, Masamune ridiculed her for never doing anything fun anymore until she left and was replaced by a different shadowy figure. Sapphire later returned as the Lady in Red and, after forcing Masamune to apologize, became a member of the Gamehikers.

Sapphire spontaneously married Golem in Gamehiker Member OG 2: On the Road Again. The other Gamehikers found that she was the Lady in Red in Gamehiker Member OG IV: Cheesecake of the Gods (but I think they forgot again). In Gamehiker Member OG VIII: The Final Parody, her relationship with Golem was shown to have become more bitter. However, the two grew closer after Captain Ditto gave them V-Watches, allowing them to transform into Viewtiful Greg and Sexy Sapphire. But Sapphire was not found of this, and after Golem's V-Watch was accidentally broken, Sapphire broke her's as well. Throughout the adventure she also became acquainted with the Donkeyman, who saw her as his lost love Ruby. She was able to reconcile with Golem after he both died and had his death undone, and aside from some random drama in Gamehiker Member OG IX: TRAITOR?!?!?!?!?!?!]] they've been doing well.

They later had a son together, Cobalt. She went into action with Rebe and Misty in Gamehiker Member OG Holiday Special: Happy Father's Day, Masa! and helped in threatening EVIL Scientist Dude into restoring the fathers.

Altered Future[edit]

In the alternate version of 2033 presented in Gamehiker Member OG Holiday Special: Merry Christmas, Straw Man!, Sapphire was a bag lady married to Greg Venn. She was content with her less responsibility-requiring lifestyle but was later called by Rebe for help ruling her country following the death of Luigius.

Bad Timeline[edit]

Sapphire joined forces with Ditto McCloaker, under the name of "Carmen-who-framed-us" in Party Goers 15. The duo commited crimes for the greater good by reviving Golem and Magikoopa, who were vital to the survival of parties. But the Party Goers were unaware of this and repeatedly battled the team. She later rejoined the Party Goers.

Later on, Lupus stole Sapphire's soul along with the souls of the other Party Goers so he could make their bodies into his mind slaves. The souls remained in Lupus's custody until he was defeated at the end of Member OG in 2010. Afterwards, the souls wandered the Earth until they met GORE-ILLA and spent some time with him in 2017 in Member OG 4: GORE-ILLA's Quest. The souls were then snatched by Rhyk and stored in his TASTS. For some reason, her soul had the ability to generate shields. She also summoned a squad of Turquoise knights, but that was a one-time deal.

In Member OG 8: This Title is irrelevant, Luiigii's spirit escaped from Rhyk and convinced Sapphire to follow him. Sapphire's soul possessed Lord Kantii. They later found her body, but it was possessed by Ihsoy. Later on, Sapphire's spirit was forced out of Kantii's body. Ihsoy was forced out of Sapphire's body by a Cheese Ray, destroying him. Sapphire's body and the Fusion Kids were saved when a pit opened beneath them.

Sapphire's soul was later reunited with her body. There she also found the Fusion Kids, whom she decided to raise as her own. But she became lonely, especially being unable to find any of the other former Party Goers. By chance she met the Donkeyman one day, and this time they fell in love. They eventually were married, after she helped the Donkeyman to reclaim his heart. Sapphire returned to Turquoise and became queen, but mostly made Donkeyman take care of the monarch work she found boring while she took care of the Fusion Kids and eventually her own son Cobalt. In The OGers: Third Generation, the third generation of OGers comes to Turquoise seeking help, and after they help in defeating the temporarily insane Fusion Kids, Sapphire indifferently agrees to lend them aid. At the end, she briefly confronted Golem in a tense reunion where they bickered about the state of the world before parting ways forever.

Neutral Timeline[edit]

As the Lady in Red, she teamed up with Ditto and Vorpal to aid them in their quest for the presidency in Mega Mega Extreme Doki Doki Panik. She often helped them to battle their rivals as Lady in Red. Sapphire defeated the evil Hellery, but Hellery found out her secret identity in the progress. The Lady in Red later revealed her identity to Vorpal and Ditto, thinking that Hellery would reveal her identity to the world. Just like when her identity was revealed in the Good Timeline, it seems everyone forgot about this revelation later on.

After becoming president, Vorpal made her the First Lady in Red, since he wasn't married, and she was the closest woman in the party. Changing back to Sapphire, she proved to be one of the smartest members of the political party. By Mega Mega Extreme Doki Doki Panik Turbo Revival XXL, she had obtained a multi-million dollar book deal and left her duties and began travelling the United States in book signings. She laughed off the MMEDDP's attempts to bring her back.

Other Appearances[edit]

  • In Harvest Goers 2024 (which was originally set after MMEDDP) it is learned that Sapphire had been a senator for some time. She moved to in order to help her cousin Lilac Blue run her farm, and to hide from the Neo Birdocat Party. However, the middle-aged Sapphire still underwent covert missions of sabotage against the party with the aid of Ditto McCloaker, just like old times.
  • In Nintenfreak's Party Goers the Comic, she is the one to whisk Golem away to adventure in the beginning, and is shown to be on the run due to corruption in her home kingdom.
  • She appears as a main character in Vorpal's Party Goers comic where she is locked in a freezer with Vorpal and also develops a crush on Moondo. She motivates the other Party Goers to search for her Pikachu after it is stolen.
  • Sapphire appears in Gamehiker High University as Golem's occasionally-requited love interest, originally dating school jock/bully SteveT.
  • She appears in Nichibutsu of America: A Game Company OG where she joins the company out of boredom and drifts between jobs in debugging and vice presidency as her boredom waxes and wanes.
  • I don't remember if I got far enough to introduce her, but in Lord of the Parties she appears in a parody role of Eowyn. Or is it Arwen? The human princess! It's been too long.

Quotes[edit]

"Golem, you're--ow--you're delirious. But still, you're so romantic when the flow of blood to your brain is getting cut off..."
