Debut | Wario Land 4 |
The Golden Diva is the final boss in Wario Land 4.
Background[edit]
In the game, she has put Princess Shokora into a comatose state. Although never specified, she is presumably the one behind the curse of the pyramid. However Wario was unable to face her until he had defeated her four underlings and gathered four jewelry-related treasures. Before she fights Wario, the cat that had followed Wario (or the shadowy salesperson if Wario chooses to hire her) is sucked up into a beam by Queen Diva. Wario then had to fight her in two different phases. After she is defeated, Princess Shokora is freed and returns to her true form.
Phases[edit]
Phase 1
- The first phase begins after a cut scene takes place, in which Princess Shokora ( in her cat form) is taken by The Golden Diva via a beam of some kind. She hides her vulnerable point, her mask, with a fan, and creates four copies of her mask to attack Wario with. These masks can be used against her, however, by jumping on them, then picking them up and throwing them at her fan. After all the Masks are used, the fan breaks, and exposes her mask.
Phase 2
- She begins to shower Wario with different items, all of which can be used against her. These items range from a Slime ball, a teddy bear circular bomb, a hammer, and an explosive egg. After hitting her mask with these items many times, it finally explodes, time for Phase three. She begins to divebomb the floor beneath, revealing a spiked floor. Every time she hits the ground, Wario can ram her head. After being reduced to one hp, her body explodes, leaving only her lips, which began to run around the floor, due to Shokora being concealed by them. One more hit and the battle is won.
Trivia[edit]
- She wears all the jewelry from the previous bosses.
- She is similar to the titular character from The Phantom of the Opera. She wears a white mask, but underneath she has a hideous face.
