Debut | Wario: Master of Disguise |
Terrormisu is the final boss in Wario: Master of Disguise. She appears as early as "Episode 7: Fouling up the Whole Works!" in her human form, Tiaramisu. Like the other characters in the game, she originates from a television show rather than the same world that most of the Wario games take place in.
Background
Her history begins long ago when an evil, greedy king, Poobah the Pharaoh, desired one wish above all else. So great was his greed that he called upon the services of a demon. She agreed to grant his wish, but on the condition he starve his people. The king agreed, but the demon did not grant the wish. Instead she stole everything he possessed and reduced his kingdom to ruins. Eventually the kingdom's people perished and the land became a vast desert. The king's palace became a pyramid and was sunk beneath the sand. However the king continued to live on.
The demon continued to live in the ruined kingdom until one day a traveler came to visit her. The man was the first Cannoli and managed to woo her with his words. While her guard was down, he transformed and cast a spell turning her into stone, what would later become known as the Wishstone. When she attempted to unleash her power, Cannoli broke the Wishstone into separate pieces and spread them amongst the world. In order to forever ensure they were never reunited by the wrong person, he transformed himself into the wand known as Goodstyle and effectively became a heirloom to his own family.
Over the centuries his descendant and the Carpaccio family continued to thwart the efforts of those who would try to reunite the Wishstone. Eventually Goodstyle fell into the possession of Wario, who decided to go after the Wishstone, thinking he would be granted a wish. Despite being opposed by Count Cannoli and Carpaccio, Goodstyle assisted Wario. When Wario's quest brought him to Sweatmore Mountain, Terrormisu was able to aid Wario's quest by taking the form of a human woman called Tiaramisu. However her powers only allowed her to appear there and she was left to wait until Wario assembled the rest of the Wishstone.
When Wario had finally accomplished his goal, Carpaccio arrived to stop him. The Wishstones united and Tiaramisu emerged from them. She revealed her deception in how she had used Wario and her hatred of the Cannoli and Carpaccio clan. Before she could kill Carpaccio, Count Cannoli intervened and flew off with him. Left to the task of dealing with the newly transformed Terrormisu, Wario did battle with her. After an arduous battle, Wario demanded that she grant his wish. Angered by her defeat and shocked by Wario's rudeness, she entered a portal and returned to her own dimension, at last removing the threat of Terrormisu for good.
Phases
Phase 1
- In her first phase, she dons a crying mask. The stage has four eyes in the four corners of the screen. In each round an eye will fire an energy ring at Wario twice. Afterwards all four eyes will activate. By turning into Genius Wario, he can use his boxing glove to hit the secret red eye. Each time he does this, the mask in the background will cry tears that will fill the room with water. By doing this three times, the room will be filled up and Wario can use his Captain Wario form to swim up to the submerged mask and hit it with torpedoes.
Phase 2
- In her next phase, she dons a smiling mask. Fifteen identions will line th eback of the wall and three masks will appear at a time, firing out small energy attacks. Using Cosmic Wario's laser gun, he has to turn all three faces blue at one time to cause the masks to explode. He has to do this five times to destroy all the holes in the back of the room.
Phase 3
- In her final phase, she dons an angry mask. The mask will sit at the top of the screen and fire off attacks at Wario. Using Dragon Wario's fire breath, he can torch the mask in the corner. After he does that, the room will fill with fire for a period of time. After hitting the mask five times, she will be defeated.
Phase 4
- The last phase is merely Terrormisu spinning around dazed. After her beautiful porcelain face shatters, she is revealed to be hideous underneath. Wario only has to charge her once as Thief Wario to defeat her.
