Goodstyle
Real Name Cannoli the First
Occupation Wizard
Debut Wario: Master of Disguise

Goodstyle is a magic wand that is capable of giving a person powers by changing their costumes. He first appears in Wario: Master of Disguise in the first episode. Like the other characters in the game, he originates from a television show rather than the same world that most of the Wario games take place in.

Background

Cannoli the First

Long ago, a demon was summoned by Poobah the Pharaoh to grant a single wish. It ended in ruin and his kingdom was buried beneath the sand while the demon, known as Terrormisu, ran free. After many centuries, she was at last tracked down by a wizard known as Cannoli. He managed to woo her with flattery and while her guard was done, he suddenly transformed and used his powers to seal her in stone. Yet even then she still had power, so he split the monolith into five pieces and hid them around the world.

Cannoli then transformed himself into a magic wand known as Goodstyle. He was then passed down to his descendants as a magic device that enabled them to be incredible thieves. Through the centuries his masters worked to ensure the Wishstones were never gathered, as did the Carpaccio clan. They were among the few that knew the power of the Wishstone, but even they only knew pieces. The story had become fragmented and events mixed together to the point that the demon was no longer even mentioned in the legend of the Wishstone.

Aiding the Purple Wind

Eventually he became the companion of Count Cannoli, who referred to himself as The Silver Zephyr. However his time with Cannoli came to an end when the thief chose to rob the S.S. Caviar. The arrival of Wario from another world resulted in Goodstyle being dropped by Cannoli and claimed by Wario. Goodstyle showed no loyalty to his descendant or previous master and instantly introduced himself to his new master and granted him his powers. Wario instantly took a liking to his new companion and refused to return it to Cannoli. With Goodstyle's power, he dubbed himself The Purple Wind - "Silent But Deadly!"

Goodstyle soon learned that the treasure on the S.S. Caviar was none other than the Wishstone itself. Having already seen Wario in action, Goodstyle determined that if anyone could handle Terrormisu, he would be the one. As a result, he led Wario on to believe that the Wishstone would grant him a single wish. Throughout their journey, Goodstyle continued to guide Wario's quest, as well as to provide him helpful insight (such as not trying to ram through solid walls with one's head). Despite Wario's crass behavior, Goodstyle took a liking to his new master.

After dealing with Count Cannoli multiple times, as well as Carpaccio and his many gadgets, they also ran into a disguised Terrormisu posing as Tiaramisu. Whether or not Goodstyle recognized her is unknown, but she certainly did not know who he was. Eventually Wario and Goodstyle finally reached the final Wishstone. It was there that Tiaramisu revealed her true identity. After Goodstyle read the Wishstone and revealed the full story behind Terrormisu, she prepared to kill Carpaccio. After the timely rescue by Count Cannoli, Terrormisu turned her attentions on Wario.

Cannoli the First

With the help of Goodstyle, Wario was able to defeat the demon once and for all. Angered by her defeat (and even more so by Wario's demand for a wish still), she fled to her home dimension. Wario was infuriated that he had got nothing out of his quest and it was then that Goodstyle returned to his true form and revealed that he had tricked Wario. However because of Wario's efforts, he agreed to hand over all the treasure that the Cannoli Clan had collected over the centuries. Yet when Wario returned home, he discovered that he was unable to bring back the treasure through the television, leaving him empty-handed once again.

Powers

Goodstyle has the power to turn Wario into the following forms by drawing a symbol on top of Wario using the DS touch screen:
