Murasame is the older twin of Masamune and of the two is the one usually involved in devious schemes. Despite causing trouble for the Party Goers once or twice, it was only in Mega Mega Extreme Doki Doki Panik that his true villainy was launched (usually working alongside Masamune) and even later in the Gamehiker Member OG series where he became a major antagonist. He is usually seen in the company of his two henchment, Krunk and Snipes.

Background

Egnar McFeller and his twin brother, Agrot, were born in Scotland. Although they never saw their father, they had a vague idea of who he was. He was a Scottish Lord who claimed to have been a knight in King Arthur's Court, several centuries ago. Far past the turn of the 16th century, the two twins had grown apart. Egnar had become a swordsman while Agrot had chosen the path of a sailor. It became a rivalry between the two to achieve the most fame. One night when they were together, an old man greeted them. He gave them two swords. Though they were little different than the swords of the land, they were said to have been forged by swordsmiths of the Far East.

Inevitably their paths led them to be enemies. Agrot had been captured and impressed by pirates. Egnar, a fierce enforcer of the law, ended up facing his own brother. The duel took left them both mortally wounded. The old man returned, chastised them, but decided to save them. He placed their souls into the swords he had given them. Being that they were technically dead, they abandoned their old names and decided to take the names of the swords they held. Thus Egnar became known as Murasame.

Timeline History

Good Timeline

Murasame became a major enemy in the Gamehiker Member OG series. He first stepped in during Gamehiker Member OG 2: On the Road Again. He seduced Luigi of the Pipes into becoming his apprentice and allied himself with the Ushutarians in hopes of using their technology for world domination. At one point he also absorbed the Vorpal Sword to become Vorpasame, but he was restored to normal eventually.

After the defeat of the Ushutarians, Murasame brought Luigi to his master the Mysterious Silhouette. Murasame then went into a period of dormancy until the end of the OG, when he returned in about the fifteenth One-Winged Angel reference in the OGs and sought the Cheesecake of the Gods, but EVIL Scientist Dude beat him to the wish. Luigi later experienced an epiphany and engaged Murasame in a duel. Masamune then struck Murasame with the Master Pie, causing Murasame to become frozen in stone and sink to the bottom of the ocean.

Murasame remained in this state until shortly prior to Gamehiker Member OG VIII: The Final Parody. At this point, he was freed by the Donkeyman after selling his soul and agreeing to do some deeds for the Donkeyman. Murasame was later sent to retrieve Masamune, although he captured Vorpal instead. Murasame later was sent off with EVIL Scientist Dude to retrieve the magic oven, but was captured by the Gamehikers. Like everyone else in this story, he seemed to be following his own agenda. He teamed up with the OGers after being betrayed by his comrades and also due to preferring the Good Timeline. When timeline-hopping, it was he who became the new crippler of Youma Ganon. He also appears in Gamehiker Member OG X: The Shrack of Neely, where Kaminobu attempts to coerce him into looking for their missing son, and Murasame winds up becoming part of the Sweet Sixteen.

In the 2030s, he doesn't appear in GMOG Holiday Special: Merry Christmas, Straw Man! except for a small cameo establishing that he wouldn't be a main character. In the follow up, GMOG Holiday Special: Happy Father's Day, Masa!, he and Masamune spend Father's Day alone until their father, Excalibur, unexpectedly shows up to reunite with them. At first they don't believe him and when they do, EVIL Scientist Dude's minions kidnap Excalibur to use for his Patrilineage Bombinator. Murasame decides he doesn't care and goes off on his own, but is unexpectedly reunited with his long lost granddaughter Kikuichimonji, whose parents had went missing and she was put in an orphanage run by Donkeyman. Murasame decides to take her in and tries to adopt her and when that fails, hires Wayne Shoeleft to win her back in the court of law. Ultimately it comes down to a battle between him and Donkeyman, but later it is Kiku (via an Act of SteveT) herself who forces Donkeyman to sign the adoption forms.

Over the following centuries, Murasame at one point encountered an epiphany and lost his villainous edge. In Galaxy Goers he was found living a life of solitude on the planet Syntax. When the planet exploded, Murasame offered his services to the others and helped them evacuate.

Bad Timeline

Murasame made his original debut against the Party Goers in Party Goers 15. Something happened, that time has forgotten. Ultimately he pulled a Sephiroth by summoning the Parteor, which turned out to be actually a giant Disco Ball for partying. Later on, Murasame went on a quest of world domination after he had finished pestering the Party Goers (maybe because they were then captured by Lupus). He came across Masamune's sword and fused it with his own to turn him into Masamura, but prior to Member OG 8: This Title is Irrelevant Rhyk had stolen the sword back.

Murasame gate-crashed the Member OG series starting at the end of Member OG 9, when he forced the OGers into a party. He then appeared in Member OG 10: Full Circle, where he was coerced into working for Lupus. He battled the OGers and engaged SwordMaster in an epic swordfight until he was defeated with a Master Pie that was summoned by Fusion. Fusion turned him back into stone with the Master Pie and sent him to the bottom of the Pacific Ocean.

Murasame was still active in The OGers: Third Generation, when Masamune's grudge with Murasame had deepened after Masamune's closest friend Dodo was killed in battle with Murasame. He was working with Team Rocket Omega mostly as muscle, but with the intention of assuming control once he outlived everyone. After things escalated with The Third Generation, he eventually had his fateful final battle with Masamune. His plan was to simply steal the Masamune sword and use a Master Pie on his brother to be rid of him. However they ended up dueling his brother and Masamune was able to mortally wound him, at which point Merlin appeared and took away their immortality due to them having failed their tests. Argot and Egnar proceeded to rapidly age and die. Afterwards, the Gentleman in Red began wielding the former Murasame sword.

Neutral Timeline

In the first Mega Mega Extreme Doki Doki Panik, he is enlisted by the Democrats to aid them in the 2000 presidential race by eliminating the competition, namely Vorpal and his MMEDDPers. He attempts to ambush them at Motel 64 with Dubya and Shrub, but in the end he is driven away by Masamune and his birds. Afterwards, Murasame and Masamune work together suprisingly well on a variety of schemes throughout the Mega Mega Extreme Doki Doki Panik series. He acts as President Pro Tempure (highest ranking member of the senate and third in the Presidential succession) under the Vorpal Administration, and sometimes as a TV anchor. He was last seen in Mega Mega Extreme Doki Doki Panic 5: It's the Economy/Elections, Stupid!, where he ran in the 2004 presidential election as the candidate for the new Reptilican party and, like any non-Vorpal candidate, lost.

Variations

• In Gamehiker High University, he is Headmaster Same, the cruel overlord of a high school that is all girls except for three boys.
• In Harvest Goers 2024, which was originally intended as a follow-up to the MMEDDP series, Masamune and Murasame worked together as part of a Neo Birdocrat government conspiracy to drive the farmers to poverty, aided by a peculiar scarecrow. This was one of the OGs were they appeared as their split forms of Masa, Mune, Mura and Same.
