Introbulus is a legendary warrior with control over metal who primarily appears as a main character of the Member OG series.
Background[edit]
Introbulus was born in a universe that no longer exists. It was kinda like a D&D world, with Mages and dragons and fighters and such. From what is known, it is believed that Introbulus was a great warrior of the time, morally just and powerful.
While hunting around in a dungeon/tower/castle or something, he stumbled upon a magical gauntlet called the Iron Fist, a glove that granted its wielder the power of metal. No one knows where it came from, since no record of anybody making such an artifact exists. But nevertheless, he found it. When he put it on, his entire body was flooded with an untold eternity of power. So much, in fact, that it was far more than anybody could take. So it had to go somewhere.
So, as soon as he had put the glove on, Introbulus destroyed his universe.
The gauntlet permanently attached itself to his right arm, making him partially immortal and giving him the power over metal. The blast was so strong, that it gave Introbulus a slight case of amnesia, and to this day, he doesn't remember a thing about his old planet.
When word reached Jim, he was sent out to go check what had caused the universe to die prematurely. Jim found Introbulus knocked out in empty space, and took him back to headquarters, where the high council of the IDSTFP (Inter-Dimensional-Space-Time-Police) assigned Jim to look after Introbulus, so he wouldn't do something like that again. Inversely, they told Introbulus to watch after Jim in case he broke out into evil, though Jim doesn't know about this (yet).
Over the years (that is to say, over the BILLIONS of years), the two learned that they worked well together. So they figured out a way to combine themselves to form a being even more powerful than themselves as a team. This guy calls himself "Jimtrobulus", because he's not very creative with names. The two were also sometimes accompanied by a third companion, a gnome named Phil. Introbulus also embedded his powers into an android duplicate of himself known as Robobulus, having been fooled into thinking that Robobulus was intended to be used as a peace-keeping robot. After being activated, Robobulus turned evil and became another of Introbulus's enemies.
Also over the years, Introbulus went on a variety of missions and became part of several groups of legendary warriors. First he teamed up with Cerulea, Saru and Bat-Ear Mirawk as the Four Elemental Warriors (Introbulus being the Warrior of Earth) and defeating the Velvet Monkey, Akujin, Nijuka and Tenorvista then sealing them away in S-Space.
Timeline History[edit]
Good Timeline[edit]
Little is known about Introbulus's life in this timeline. He only makes a brief cameo in Gamehiker Member OG 2: On the Road Again, when the OGers ask to borrow his station wagon, but he refuses because he is busy installing a tailpipe extension. He then appears in Gamehiker Member OG X: The Shrack of Neely, where he guards the Holy Plot Device (Reverb) within the Trippy Plot Hole Zone against several members of the Sweet Sixteen. He is successful in dismantling MPOM but Caykface covers his Iron Gauntlet and temporarily nullifies his powers so that the others could defeat him and steal the Holy Plot Device (Reverb).
Bad Timeline[edit]
Introbulus and Jim were later assigned to help out a new group of OGers. In Member OG Zero: Before the Cheesecake, they went on a quest to make sure that the OGers would be able to band together several years later. They later entered the story in Member OG, and Introbulus joined up with the OGers in their battles against Lupus while Jim attempted to infiltrate the bad guys.
He later left the group on unspecified business, but he returned in order to lead the others into BanLand for the final battle with Lupus in 2010. The six OGers banded together as the OG Six and successfully destroyed Lupus, at which point Introbulus hid away the Holy Plot Device (Reverb). At the beginning of Member OG 2: The Jewel Heist, Introbulus and Jim were busy involving themselves in a sidestory on the Planet Mystery, but they returned to Earth in time to give Fusion and the others a ride to Japan and help in the search for Fusion's missing jewel. He also repaired GORE-ILLA and gave him new mechanical parts to prevent tampering from EVIL Scientist Dude.
Then in Member OG 3: Subtitle Soon!, Introbulus had to face the darker side of his friend when Dark Jim made attempts on the lives of the OGers. In the end they wound up having to battle Evil instead of Dark Jim. Introbulus was killed during the battle when he unleashed his Ultimate Prod against Evil. However, his final attack was able to force Evil into his final form, which brought the OGers one step closer to sealing him away. Following the battle, Introbulus was revived by the Sophnito jewel.
Introbulus was called in to help GORE find the secrets of his past in Member OG 4: GORE-ILLA's Quest. Not much notable happened to him this time aside from his battles with Shade and Dark Jim, and the fact that this time he brought Phil along with him. But Phil later betrayed Introbulus and Jim, capturing them both in Member OG 5: Secret of the Ooze and imprisoning them within the Apocalypse while Robobulus and Dark Jim impersonated them among the OGers. The two later escaped and spent basically the entire OG fighting off Akujin. They were later knocked out, and Brooser helped them to escape. However, Robobulus and Dark Jim chose this moment to strike, and Robobulus killed Introbulus with a stake to the heart while Dark Jim absorbed Jim.
His boss, Eerie II, arranged his arrival in Member OG 6: VGF Moon, but only under the condition that he work to destroy his former friends, the OGers, in order to prevent the deterioration of S-Space. Introbulus reluctantly agreed and teamed up with a group of his former enemies, Gamechamp and his Robot Team, to accomplish the mission. He thought that Akujin should live in place of the OGers because Akujin could protect the Holy Plot Device (Reverb) better than the OGers ever could. He finally battled the OGers themselves on Krad. However, he then learned from the OGers that Akujin was planning to use the Holy Plot Device (Reverb) through his manipulation of Black Skull Dragoshi. So Introbulus helped the OGers to evacuate Krad and guided them to the MPVP headquarters so that they could battle Akujin.
After the battle, Eerie came to escort Introbulus to the afterlife. However, instead of killing him Eerie simply froze him within einsteinium sandwiches and left him to drift in space until he was desfrosted by Cerulea in Member OG 7: Neogenesis. Introbulus returned to Earth in time to help in the battle against Bat-Ear Mirawk, whom had been possessed by the Velvet Monkey. Eerie later summoned Introbulus to his Mirage Palace in Member OG 8: This Title is irrelevant in order to kill him. Introbulus attempted to defend the OGers in a debate with Eerie, but Eerie ignored him because he did not want his universe to be good or evil, but to be balanced. Introbulus presumably escaped after Eerie left to take that power-giving thingy.
Introbulus, Cerulea and Saru then spied on their old master in Member OG 9: One-Page Wonder. Introbulus got caught up in a battle with Eerie at one point until Eerie was killed by Crap Villain. His Iron Gauntlet was broken during the battle, but he soon found that the Gauntlet's shards were still able to attract metal.
He joined the OGers for their last adventure in Member OG 10: Full Circle, wherein he died like twice. Introbulus engaged Nijuka in an epic battle in which he finally unleashed his full power. He later gathered all the metal in the universe to unleash one last attack against Nijuka. This seemingly killed them both, but it instead transported them to the Planet of Sharp, Dangerous Objects, where they fought for control of the Writer's Chair. He was then trapped within Eerie II's old hall of mirrors while Eerie I took control of his body in order to use it for taking control of the universe.
After gaining all four of the stones needed to activate the Writer's Chair, Introbulus was restored to normal by the regression stone, which also caused his cape to become a Jim-like creature who called himself James. After driving Eerie out of James, he used the spirits of Yami Yoshi, Fusion and Black Skull Dragoshi to destroy Eerie I and his backup universe, seemingly dying in the process.
Personality[edit]
Introbulus is a fairly…odd person to say the least. Oftentimes he makes little to no sense at all! This could be due to his power restraint, or just natural. While he is easily distracted, Introbulus will see his duty through to the end! If you are his friend, you have a good traveling companion. If he is your enemy, he will make a worthy adversary. If he is neither, he just ignores you. Introbulus also enjoys making useful inventions in his spare time.
Abilities[edit]
The majority of his power comes from the Iron Fist. A gauntlet that is permanently attached to his right hand. It grants him extraordinary power, partial immortality, and dictation over metal and robots. He also often has very nifty gadgets on his hands, like power level detectors and OGer-summoning devices. Despite his great power, alot of the time he acts mostly as a chauffeur to the crew and drives them around in his interdimensional station wagon.
Quotes[edit]
Eerie: No matter! I still make the rules in this universe!
Introbulus: ~glowing~ You're forgetting one of the rules you made, Eerie! I always thought that the potential that I had to destroy the universe was a curse, and I was right. But now... it's time to teach you a lesson to watch what you create!
~And, as quick as that, it's over. That universe is no more.~
-Pretty damn epic in Member OG 10
Behind-The-Scenes-Stuff Found from Googling[edit]
1. What do you like about your character? That is to say, what aspect of the character's personality is attractive to you? (So, for example, "fun to play" is not an acceptable answer.)
Answer: I like that Introbulus is a very honest person. He doesn't believe that lying is a good way to behave to anyone. Though obviously he HAS to lie about some things to save the state of the Universe, he hates doing it on principle.
2. What aspect of the character do you dislike or find unattractive?
Answer: Introbulus shows a great deal of thickheadedness and straightforwardness. Often times he will try to employ the simplest solution where it isn't very useful. This can be endearing as it is annoying.
3. Would you consider being friends with or even dating the character?
Answer: He and I would probably not get along very well. He's a bit too thick to really understand my mindset. Still, we'd probably form a companionship of some sort.
4. If you had to choose one, what one thing would you change about the character and why?
Answer: I kinda wish I could keep a bit of consistency about him...at once he is supposed to be all-powerful, and fit into several continuities in which he cannot be more powerful than other characters. To this end I have created limits on his power, alternate versions of him, and more than once betrayed his true character. I'd really just like to have some solid ground for him to stand on, if only for a standard of how to measure an Introbulus. Then again, if I did that, he'd be definable, and I'd really hate that.
